Are We Being Invaded By Aliens?

Surfing the web I found this blog post, asking if we are being invaded by aliens or not. I think it is rather funny, since we are obviously in contact with extra terrestrials. There is even a mention of a alien space craft in the holy Bible.

Why do companies let good domains drop?

Imagine that you ran a dairy company which owned the domain cottage-cheese.com, and the person in your organisation responsible for renewing domains just let it expire. What would you say to that fool? If it were up to me I would he or she would be fired right away. It is terrible to let anything like that happen, to just let a generic industry domain back in the open for registration pool. Any domain it is worth attempting to sell before letting it drop even if it is not a premium domain. And the company I am thinking about could have made a very nice amount of money had they tried to sell the domain. The company is in a industry that I check on once in a while, and I first thought that this domain had been hijacked. It happens, it happens very quickly when you forget to lock your domain names. There are pirates in China and Eastern Europe that keeps a close watch on changes in zone files. I just had to email them and find out what had happend.

The darn MyBlogLog cookie.

I am a member customer of MyBlogLog just to have their stats, I hate being tracked around on the blogs that I read. It isn’t even enough to log out, the darn cookie is still there. It is really frustrating.

Lock it or lose it.

Always keep domains locked, at all times. Somehow it is possible to have domains transferred away from you if you don’t check your e-mail for a few days, and if the domains are unlocked. It shouldn’t be like that.

Sweden to set up embassy in Second Life

Second Life is nice, a while back I spent a few hours in this virtual reality world and it was all very nice, but I never thought that a real nation would set up an offical embassy there, well Sweden is apperantly planing to do so. Read the rest »

Failed comment bait.

What the heck is wrong with people? Hardly anyone comments on this blog, so I set up a comment bait.

Two days ago I wrote a blog post about:

  • President George Bush
  • Iraq and the Iraq war
  • Osama bin Laden and terrorism
  • Google.

I even suspended the registration requirement to comment. What the heck happend? Any combination of these for elements should have attracted atleast 20 comments. I even did commented on some over at the very right wing digitalpoint forums, I got click though allright, but no comments.

UPDATED! There was two comments waiting for moderation, but still. Read the rest »

George Bush gets a hand job

george-w-bush.jpegGeorge Walter Bush is one TOUGH president. I do not think that there are many men that could successfully fill his shoes without going into a deep depression. After the most successful attack against the USA since Perl Harbor, he had no choice but to strike back. It is now 5 1/2 years since the start of full-scale war against terrorism, and the leader of the free world is in big trouble. Not only is a large majority of the Islamic world and other countries against the war, but he is also facing trouble at home. The Democratic Party has seized control over both the Senate and the House of Representatives, he has the lowest approval rating a US president has ever had, and he is also having problems with the armed forces. It is not easy to be the President of the United States. Read the rest »

Why am I linking to Wikipedia?

NoFollow WikipediaBecause of Wikipedias adoption of the rel=”nofollow” attribute there is a campaign on the growing with the goal of reducing the PageRank of Wikipedia, by adding the rel=”nofollow” attribute to all links into Wikipedia. At this very moment there are people writing plugins for Wordpress and other popular content management systems to do this automatically. On my 200 or so web site I must have more than a thousand links to Wikipedia, but I am not a big fan of using the rel=”nofollow” attribute.

Why is sma-eu.org parked at SEDO?

The home page of Search Marketing Association EU is parked at SEDO at the same time does both both Search Marketing Association of North America and Search Marketing Association UK link to it? Why? It makes SMA-NA look bad.

SMA-UK has no up comming events and the most recent event was the second of November 2005. The latest press release from SMA-NA is dated April 18th 2006.

Is the organization dead? It does not come as a big surpise. Read the rest »
