Marketers Should NOT run Restaurants.

I have always thought that chefs are best suited to run restaurants. A chef is a culinary expert and have the skills and training needed to manage a restaurant. However in my favorite forum, there is a respected member that are of the opinion that chefs should not run restaurants, a chef is according to this person really more of a “chef assistant”. A “real chef” according to the same person is a person who have spent three years eaning a bachlors degree in marketing. I truly respect marketers they are really great when you need to e.g. have market research done, but should the marketer run the restaurant? I think not.
