It has just come to my attention that Yahoo will acuire MyBlogLog for 10.000.000 US$

Yahoo has been losing ground to Google in the search domain, and they will have a hard time when Microsoft rolls out vista. With the lauch of a new operating system Microsoft will get an unique opertunity to change search behavior. A lot of usiers will be migrating from Google and Yahoo search, atleast for a short time. So Yahoo does the only sensible thing, strengthen the area where they are the best, social media.

So how would this affect the MyBlogLog service, my guess is that Yahoo will massivly improve it and offer it for free. I would not be surprised if bloggers start to drop Google analytics. And there you go, Yahoo will gain ground among the many small content producers on the web.

We already know that Yahoo is taking over Bix and Kenet Works, to me it looks like we are in for intresting times ahead.
