The Citizendium will replace Wikipedia as the number one resource on the web

Wikipedia is being forked, and I think people will notice quickly.
You can read about Citizendum: here, here, here and here.
I would think of it as the next logical step in the evolution of free information. We got the Wikipedia, it is very nice, but at the same time a lot of short comings. The first mistake was to think of Wikipedia as an encyclopaedia, it really isn’t. The quality of Wikipedia is nice in some areas, like math, but other areas the quality could suffer due to spam, sabotage, lack of references, false information, and omitted information. There are countless articles that are biased and there is no systematic quality control. Also Wikipedia allows anonymous editors and editors that hide behind nick names. Who should you sue if Wikipedia slanders you? I love Wikipedia, it is the number one resource for almost anything on the web, but at the same time Wikipedia sucks. Citizendum will be should be much better and should over time replace Wikipedia as the number one web resource. I do think Wikipedia will survive and continue to grow even with the focus shifting towards Citizendum, Wikipedia will always in nature be a broader and more accessible resource than Citizendum.
