DMOZ is a low priority project.

DMOZ is down I understand that even a high tech company like Netscape could run into trouble when having to do a restore from historic data, but come one a week? I get the feeling like they didn’t have a plan in place and that they are giving this issue a very low priority. Not that long ago DMOZ used to be the number 1 resource on the web, if you needed to link to a generic resource you often linked to a DMOZ category. It is no longer like that, we got wikipedia. Unless Netscape wants DMOZ to slowly die they need to do something that they are not doing right now.
